Authorization

Introduction

The authorization process is the first phase of all payment transactions with card and wallet or e-commerce.

The authorization process occurs when the acquirer sends the transaction to the issuer through the Visa and MASTERCARD networks for approval or decline.
In the case of dual messages, the acquirer will first send an authorization request, and once it is approved, he will send the clearing transaction. The issuer bank will only block the funds equal to or greater than the transaction amount.
In the case of a single message, the acquirer will send authorization and clearing in one message, so the issuer can directly debit the customer account with the transaction amount and the charges.
